| DEATH IN LOVE
Thank you to April for submitting this (click photos for larger view):
I thought I send you some new pics of Josh. He is in Park City, Utah know promoting "Death in Love."
Thank you to AtelierGal for contributing the following:
Just added today, there's an interview with Josh talking about his new movie.
Many thanks to April for the continuing good work! Here's her latest update:
I wanted to let you know that the movie 'Boy in the Box' is from Josh's and his brother's production company. And in that new movie 'Management.' Josh is supposed to play, I heard, a ex-porn star. Can't wait for that one.
Neither can we.
Also special thanks to Raven on the forum for solving the registration problem with the board. Very much appreciated!
If you have some Josh news to contribute, e-mail us at joshlucasu at gmail dot com.

| DEATH IN LOVE
Thanks to an anonymous Josh Lucas fan who sent in the following:
"Hi Jenn ~ thank you for the updates. I have another one if you think it may be interesting. It is about the movie Death In Love that will be showing in your neck of the woods at Sundance. They have an official website that maybe some would like to see."
Also, just to prepare myself from undue stress LOL, is the site going down for awhile at the first of the year?"
Just to allay any fears, JLU is not going to make it's annual ritual of going down this year. I just renewed our domain registration. Whew!
And thanks to April for this correction:
"Wanted to let you know I made a little mistake on the updates I gave you. The two Indie films Josh is doing are not from his and his brother production company, they are from two different companys."

| FILM UPDATES
Thanks to April for the following update on Josh's up-and-coming films!
"Hi April again. Didn't think you knew about Josh's two Inide films coming out the begining of next year. "Death in Love" and I think the other one is call "Boy in the Box" I think. Both are read from his and his brother's production company. And also the Scott brothers production he is doing next year. A movie about him as a single father getting a heart transplant trying to find the killers of the guy who he got the heart from before they come after him. And I just heard about the one he plays a Judiest Priest who goes under cover on wall street. Based on a true story. I think his character ends up dead, hung under a bridge or something. That should be interesting, "God's Spy" is the name of that one. Anyway also here is a new pic I found. It's him recently Dec. 3.
The Scott brothers movie is called "Tell-Tale". And the other Indie movie is called "Boy in the Box". They are filming it now."
Thanks again to April for the update and all the others who keep the site going. Keep sending in your updates!

| ECOISTS
As
we patiently wait for breaking news, please enjoy some re-caps
of items you may (or may not) of already
seen. The first of my "Josh in Review" series...
ECOISTS:
JOSH LUCAS
One
of the things that Josh Lucas is known for is his passion for
and commitment to environmental activism. One of Josh's recent
projects is THE GREEN, presented by Robert Redford from Sundance
Channel. THE GREEN is "television's first regularly-scheduled
programming destination dedicated entirely to the environment."
Also on THE GREEN online, you can "find multimedia content
focusing on the earth's ecology and concepts of 'green' living
that balance human needs with responsible care for the planet.
If you haven't already, please visit THE
GREEN online. As many of you know, Josh's cause is The
National Biodiesel Board.

| NEW WEBSITE, NEW YOU
All
right, who was I kidding with the promises of a new site? Not
only do I work full-time, I'm a mother, artist, entrepreneur,
web & graphic designer, aspiring-writer-filmmaker-chef-animal
trainer-theologian-photographer-fine arts museum curator-tap dancer-Jim
Halpert groupie-Central Park roller skater- and the list really
just goes on. But seriously, I'm just really busy with life. Plus,
I'm Sundancing in beautiful, ass-cold Utah right now. So... that
was round-about way of saying, no new design yet, but here, just
for you, is the beautifully packaged Josh Lucas Underground, brought
back to you in its original form.

| WHERE IN THE WORLD IS JOSH?
Thanks
to Asainova for sending in this scan from Vanity Fair's December
2006 issue:
...
What a combo: Moby, Josh Lucas and Mikhail Gorbachev
will honor Sundance Channel President Larry Aidem
tonight at the Green Cross International/Global Green
USA Awards for launching Sundance Channel Green,
offering prime-time programs focusing on the
environment, set to launch next year
Thanks
to Jessie for passing along these fab photos of Josh from GQ back
in June... along with a risque article. I'm certain I'm the last
person to have seen them since I'm so out of the loop lately,
but for the rest of you... an encore:
My
favorite is number 4 because oddly it reminds me of my 2 year
old drinking out of her sippy cup. And, no, it's not because I
put beer in it. Photo number 2 is a very close second. Boy howdy,
you sure got some purdy teeth...
And
in further news-that-Jenn-just heard-of-some-months-later:
Josh
Lucas Will Investigate Smart
Source: Variety
June 20, 2006
Josh Lucas has signed on for Smart, a biopic based on the eccentric
life of GQ and Esquire magazine founder David Smart, says Variety.
Bruce Nash's Nash Entertainment is producing along with Lucas' just-launched
2 Bridges Productions. The film centers on the magazine powerhouse
whose life was almost entirely consumed by his germ phobia. He and
a circle of colleagues created a long string of classroom instructional
films on health and hygiene. Meanwhile, he led an unorthodox personal
life and was known for his womanizing and affinity for shirtless
photos of himself.Charlie Peters wrote the screenplay. Lucas will
star as a fictional FBI investigator who infiltrates Smart's world.
The title character has not yet been cast.

| UPDATE
Hmmm...
Just a little behind! Forgive me. I started a new job and between
the transitioning and training, what little was left was spent
on the family and regaining my sanity. (Not that there was a whole
lot to begin with.)
Want
to help JLU keep up on the updates? Send an e-mail to jlu_mail@msn.com!
Josh
was photographed with Alexa Davalos (cute stuff, you must admit)
at the Kanye West benefit concert for amFAR on 6/23 (click photo
to enlarge). Watch a video from the red carpet here.
Note: This video may give indication as to why Josh wasn't in
his siblings' bluegrass group.
Here's
a photo of Josh and friends Christi Allen and Jackson from the
Wassup
Rockers Free-for-All Block Party and Outdoor Screening
in NYC on 6/17. Is it me or is it kinda nice to see a movie star
sitting on some New Yawk floor in his Chuck Taylors?
Thank
you to LadiJanvier who sent us this fan art. (Click for full-size
image.)
Just
a little friendly reminder that we've got a week of Josh coming:
Monday,
5/8: Regis & Kelly
Tuesday,
5/9: The View
Wednesday,
5/10: Last Call with Carson Daly
Thursday,
5/11: Will & Grace, National Geographic Channel

{Ain't
we lucky?}

| VODCAST
There
is an interesting vodcast on iTunes called "Icarus and the
World Trade Center" directed by Katy Schimert and DP'd by
Saam Gabbay. It's a Super-8 mm film transferred to video, 5 minutes,
color and no sound. It also stars Josh Lucas.
You
can also download the Poseidon trailer on iTunes. (I'm
stocking up my library for my future video iPod.)

| MAYDAY
Happy
May... Instead of dancing around the may pole, I've been busy
updating.
Josh
will be hosting an evening of natural disasters on the National
Geographic Channel on May 11th (same night as his "Will &
Grace" appearance).
Also, wanted to share these cute photos of Josh and Mia Maestro
at the 2006 Movieline Young Hollywood Awards from 4/30. (Wouldn't
you love to be Mia in that photo? Lucky girl.)
Don't
forget 5/2, HBO kicks off it's "HBO First Look: Poseidon"
program.

| JLU MONTHLY
I'm
baaaaack...
Thanks
everyone for hanging with JLU. Here are some sumptious tidbits
for those of you looking for that Josh Lucas fix:
For
those of you lucky to be in NYC on May 6th (hey! that's my birthday)
Lynn reports that Poseidon is screening at the Tribeca Film Festival.
From the website Digital Spy: "We are truly honoured and
delighted to be a part of the Tribeca Film Festival and to offer
New York audiences advance passage on Poseidon," said [Poseidon
director Wolfgang] Petersen. "Poseidon was made for audiences
like this, people who truly love movies and the film-going experience,
who go to the theater expecting to be transported to a entirely
different world."
Props
to Lynn, Stevey and Brittany for the TiVo alert: Josh will guest
star on NBC's "Will & Grace" on May 11th, the next-to-last
show of the series, ending it's eight-year stint.
For
more info on Josh's appearances, check out the KEEPING UP WITH
JOSH calendar to the right.
Diana
wrote in to say she thinks the voiceover talent for the new AT&T
campaign (at the end of the spots) is Josh. It sounds a hell of
a lot like him, but I'm not sure... leaning towards nyet.
What's your vote? Check in here.
And
in saving the best for last... photo time!
Isabelle
has sent us some screen caps from Unfinished Life (including
the one up top). Enjoy! Thanks mon ami belle!
Thanks
to Rui for hooking us up with this photo:
While
I'm not able to update as often as I used to (and as much as I'd
like to), don't forget to visit the Forum

| HAPPY MARCH
Howdy
all... I've resurrected myself long enough to say, "Yes I
still exist!" Unfortunately, I've been buried under tons
of work. Way too much going on here to elaborate. So the little
time I have of leisure is spent with my beautiful little girls.
But don't worry, things should be changing here in the next couple
of months at work that may allow me to return to my regular life.
(And, hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.)
Thanks
to all the great Josh Lucas fans who have kept JLU going! I see
the Forum and Chat are carrying on business as usual. I appreciate
you all posting the latest and greatest and keeping everyone entertained.
Ellipsis
Magazine's editor, H. Perry Horton, for informing us of "an
article
written by Josh Lucas on the books that have influenced him.
It's a pretty neat piece, very experimental in tone, and not at
all the same, cookie-cutter sort of feature you typically see
regarding a Hollywood star."
